Final decisions

It is far too early to start counting your trophys Johan Mjallby was back in front of the media again as Neil Lennon maintained his self-imposed exile from the press conferences all clubs offer. The assistant manager was looking forward to the Co-operative Insurance Cup final against Rangers at Hampden but believes it is "ridiculous" to talk of a possible treble just yet. The Hoops are still top of the SPL and favourites to win the Scottish Cup after reaching the semi-finals in midweek with a win at Inverness. They will meet Aberdeen in the semi-final at Hampden on Sunday 17 April. Lennon's side also go in to tomorrow's Old Firm League Cup final as favourites having not lost to the Ibrox men in four games this year. However, the Parkhead club's assistant manager wants to keep a check on expectation and reminded everybody that no one should get too far ahead of themselves.  Asked if the treble was being discussed, he replied: "No. It is too early to think about that. It would be ridiculous to think about a treble right now. The good thing is we have a chance to go all the way in every domestic competition but it is too early to speak about that just now. The main focus is on the next game. Rangers are going to be fired up, it is a cup final. They are a good side, a strong side and well organised. They know everything about us and we know everything about them so there will be no surprises. The good thing is we are unbeaten in four against them. The second of January when we beat them was a a big turning point, at least mentally, for the players. We have won games against them recently but form always goes out the window in these games, it is about on the day and which team plays the closest to their best."  Mjallby will be the man to lead the team out at Hampden as Lennon serves a four-game touchline ban for being sent to the stand at Tynecastle in November. The former Celtic defender played down his role in the Hampden preliminaries. He said: "It doesn't really matter, as long as we win the trophy. We will speak about how we will communicate with Neil. There is plenty of time, it won't be an issue. He needs to have his team talk earlier than usual but we still have a game plan and be prepared to make changes during the game. Both teams will be fired up and eager to go. It is a chance to win a cup final and it is a great day for the club and supporters."
