Dropped points inevitable - Wilson

Mark Wilson has played down the damage done by Celtic's recent dropped points at home, insisting draws against Dundee United and Inverness were "not a disaster".

The adverse weather has put paid to Clydesdale Bank Premier League games against Aberdeen and Kilmarnock since the Hoops surrendered a two-goal advantage to Caley, a week after losing the lead to United. However, Wilson, looking ahead to next week's match against Hamilton, believes dropped points can be clawed back.

"It's important we get on another run again as this is such an important time of the season in any league, regardless of this pile-up," the Celtic full-back told the club's official website. "But while it's vital, the results were not a disaster like the way everyone is looking at it."

He added: "We have drawn two home games we should have won. But at the end of the day, we drew them - we didn't lose them - and that's the way we have got to look at it.

"You're going to draw games. You would like to draw the tough away games and win all your home games but it's never going to happen.

"So long as we win some of the games we would probably think about drawing away from home, it will even itself out."

Glaswegian Wilson admits he has been shocked by the recent weather conditions and hopes for a return to action next week.

"It's been unbelievable," he said.

"I have never seen anything like it in my life and it's just so strange to see a game at Celtic Park called off.

"So hopefully we can get back playing next week as it's going to be a bit of a pile-up come the end of the year."
