Donati a done deal

Celtic have completed the signing of AC Milan midfielder Massimo Donati in a £3million deal.

The 26-year-old has penned a four-year contract with the Bhoys, having seen his chances of breaking through at the San Siro all but disappear.

Donati joined the Rossoneri six years ago from Atalanta, but has made less than 20 appearances for Milan, being loaned out to Parma, Torino, Sampdoria, Messina and back to Atalanta last season.

He told Sky Sports News: "I did have other offers, but I was mainly interested in staying at Milan. When that didn't work out, I got an offer from Celtic.

"For me, it's the same level and the same honour to play here.

"I jumped at the chance and wanted to play in a winning team that wins championships and plays in the Champions League."
