Derby may mean nothing - Crosas

The Hoops slipped four points adrift of Rangers at the weekend with Walter Smith's men due to visit Parkhead on January 3.[LNB]Tony Mowbray's side first host Hamilton on Boxing Day before travelling to Kilmarnock and Crosas is determined to focus on those two games without worrying about the new year clash.[LNB]The former Barcelona midfielder said: "The Christmas period isn't going to decide who wins the title but whoever comes out on top will be in a better position.[LNB]"We have three very important games coming. Everybody will be talking about the Rangers game, but if we don't get positive results against Hamilton and Kilmarnock, winning the derby would be for nothing.[LNB]"It's important we go into every game with the same attitude and focus.[LNB]"They are all equally important and if we can come out of the Christmas fixtures in a good position, we will be set up for the second half of the season."[LNB]Celtic recently completed four consecutive victories for the first time under Mowbray but followed that with a 2-1 defeat by Hearts after Gary Caldwell was sent off with the Hoops one ahead at Tynecastle.[LNB]And Crosas admits to frustration at their inability to put together consistent runs of results.[LNB]"It's been a frustrating season so far," he told the Celtic View.[LNB]"I think we have played well in most of our games and had some great wins, but we haven't always got what we deserved. That's been disappointing."[LNB]Hamilton have yet to pick up a point against either side of the Old Firm since their return to the top flight at the start of last season.[LNB]They have come close on certain occasions, although always at New Douglas Park, and manager Billy Reid believes they are in fine form following successive wins over Hearts and Aberdeen.[LNB]"I feel as though the improvement since the start of the season until now has been immense," Reid said.[LNB]"We're a far better side, the players are playing with a lot confidence.[LNB]"We feel as though we should have had a few more points but we're fairly satisfied.[LNB]"But we're not getting carried away, we realise a couple of results and we are back down the table."[LNB][LNB]
