Steven Davis insists there is no such thing as a meaningless Old Firm derby as Rangers prepare to do battle with Celtic on Tuesday night.[LNB] The Glasgow giants meet for the final time this season, with Rangers still celebrating another Scottish Premier League title success and Celtic desperate to end a poor season on a high.[LNB]And, although the points at stake will make no difference to the SPL table for either side, Davis knows both teams are determined to secure the bragging rights from the Parkhead clash.[LNB]"A lot of people have said there is nothing to play for in this game but there is always pride in Old Firm games and everybody wants to win them," said the midfielder, named Scottish PFA Player of the Year.[LNB]"There is always pressure in Old Firm games, regardless of league position. The players, the fans, the coaches, they all want to win the games.[LNB]"Old Firm games are usually frantic and I can't see this one being any different."[LNB]The short trip to the east end of Glasgow sees Rangers face Celtic for the first time since Neil Lennon took over as interim boss.[LNB]But Walter Smith does not believe the presence of the former skipper in the dugout will necessarily add an extra edge to the game.[LNB]"I don't think that changes it in any way," said the Ibrox boss. "The Old Firm games are always competitive enough."[LNB]Six players are out of contract at the end of the season and possibly playing in their final Old Firm derby but Smith says potential departures should have no bearing on the game either.[LNB]"I don't think that's a factor in the game," he said. "It could be the last Old Firm game for a few players on both sides and I don't think it will affect the game a great deal.[LNB]"I just think it will be a normal Old Firm game, maybe with the exception of the fact that because the season is over and done with there may be a lack of edge."
