Content Caddis inks new deal
08 Dec 2009 - 08:17:23
Celtic full-back Paul Caddis has signed a new contract to extend his stay with the Glasgow giants.
The Scotland Under-21 captain has found himself out of favour under boss Tony Mowbray but has put-pen-to-paper on the new terms and will remain at Celtic Park for another year.
He has made 15 appearances for the club but has failed to make a start in the league this term.
Dundee United made a loan move for the Ayrshire-born player during the second half of last season and Caddis featured heavily, making 11 appearances for Craig Levein's team.
Speaking to the club's website, he said: "I'm very pleased to agree this new contract with the club.
"I have really enjoyed my time so far at Celtic and have been fortunate to make a number of appearances already in the first team.
"This is now something I want to build on and I'm committed to doing all I can to work hard and ensure that I can feature more and more."
Mowbray added: "Paul is a young player who has great ability and great character.
"He is someone who I know has all that is required to have a very good future in the game and and we look forward to working with him to ensure that we give him every opportunity to achieve his potential."
