Cha coming to terms with Scottish life

Celtic defender Cha Du-ri is still coming to terms with the weather in Scotland - even though he has yet to experience a Scottish winter.[LNB] Cha played for South Korea in the World Cup in South Africa before arriving at the Glasgow club in July after being freed by German side Freiburg and has already nailed down the right-back slot at Parkhead.[LNB]However, speaking ahead of Wednesday night's Co-operative Insurance Cup third round tie against Inverness at Celtic Park, the 30-year-old defender admitted he has not been impressed by the climate.[LNB]He said: "I am very happy here, I have good team-mates and it is a beautiful city but the weather is not as good as when I was at Freiburg. I like sunshine.[LNB]"In Glasgow you get one hour sunshine and the rest of the day is cloudy. But that's okay."[LNB]Cha, who also spent spells at Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Frankfurt, Mainz and Koblenz, admits he is a fan of the winter break which he enjoyed in the Bundesliga and which is under consideration again by the Scottish Premier League.[LNB]He said: "I like the winter break. You can stay with the family in Korea at Christmas and New Year. You must play in Scotland but I have no problem with that.[LNB]"However, it is good for the players to have a break where they don't have to think too much about football."[LNB]Cha is surprised that there is a second major cup competition in Scotland.[LNB]"In Germany, there is only the FA Cup and the championship," he said.[LNB]"Here, you also have one more cup competition, the League Cup, but that's okay.[LNB]"I am here to win trophies and the more trophies there are, the better it is for me."[LNB]Inverness manager Terry Butcher insists his side will travel to Glasgow in a positive frame of mind.[LNB]He said: "We'll go there knowing that we have to be strong and solid in defence, but I think it's a great game for us and one we should be really looking forward to.[LNB]"I certainly don't think it's a game we should be worried about."
