Celtic crash out

Celtic crashed out of the Europa League on a night to forget for the Scottish teams as Utrecht ran riot to seal their own place in the group stages after staging a remarkable comeback in the tie, winning 4-0.Goals from Efrain Juarez and Georgios Samaras in the first leg at Parkhead were wiped out in a devastating seven-minute spell which saw Ricky van Wolfswinkel net twice from the penalty spot before completing his hat-trick early in the second half.Barry Maguire then completed the rout on the night, with the result ensuring Celtic's dismal away record in Europe continued, with just one win in 28 games on the road now.The Dutch side surged into the lead early on when Michael Silberbauer was fouled in the box and van Wolfswinkel converted from the penalty spot.Van Wolfswinkel then claimed his second of the night - also from the spot - before Utrecht hit the woodwork shortly before the break.Shortly after the restart, Nana Asare was allowed to embark upon a surging run before picking out Edouard Duplan, he played the ball into the path of Van Wolfswinkel who rifled high into the top corner to claim his hat-trick, before Maguire lashed home a loose ball to wrap things up.
