Celtic close in on Ledley

Celtic are in pole position to complete the signing of Cardiff City midfielder Joe Ledley on a Bosman free transfer.

Stoke City and West Brom also want to sign the Wales international who is believed to favour a move to Scotland.

Ledley's agent, Dave Baldwin, told the Daily Record: "When Joe was here earlier in the week he was impressed. You couldn't fail to be impressed with a club the size of Celtic."

Meanwhile, Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard is also believed to be contemplating an offer to sign for Neil Lennon's side.

The former Fulham and Wigan Athletic midfielder is set to join the Bhoys on a season-long loan with the Scottish side prepared to cover a significant part of Bullard's £45,000-a-week salary.
