Celtic UEFA verdict delayed

UEFA are not expected to announce the outcome of Celtic's disciplinary hearing on a charge of 'illicit chanting' by fans in the Europa League match against Rennes until Monday.

The hearing is taking place on Friday but is one of more than 100 cases being dealt with by UEFA's control and disciplinary body.

A UEFA spokesman said the outcome of all the cases would be disclosed on Monday.

Celtic were charged after the Strathclyde Police match commander complained to the UEFA match delegate about pro-IRA chanting at the Europa League Group I game on November 3.
