Free agent Charlie Mulgrew has signed a three-year deal with Celtic, manager Neil Lennon has confirmed.
The left-back was out of contract at Aberdeen and returns to the club where he learned his trade as a youngster.
The Celtic boss, who welcomed his squad back to pre-season training on Thursday morning, said: "Charlie has signed and I am pretty pleased about that."
Lennon added: "He was a kid who was here and went away.
"He went to play in England and had a great spell at Aberdeen and outside the Old Firm we felt he was one of the best players in the SPL."
