Celtic hopeful over Hooper injury

Celtic's medical staff are optimistic that striker Gary Hooper did not suffer a broken leg during Tuesday night's 1-1 draw against Kilmarnock.

Hooper was carried off on a stretcher before the interval following a tussle with Killie defender Frazer Wright and was due to undergo a scan to determine whether he suffered a broken fibula along with suspected ankle ligament damage.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon said: "It looks like an ankle sprain but we don't know the extent of it and we don't know if there is any other damage there. The doc thinks it could be an ankle sprain but he's going for a scan to make sure there is no fibula damage."
