Scotland international defender Gary Caldwell insists he is ready to sign a new long-term contract with the club.
The 26-year-old, who moved to Parkhead from Hibernian two years ago, is in the final 12 months of his contract, and sees no reason why he should not spend the rest of his career with Gordon Strachan's side.
He said: "If I was to stay at Celtic all of my professional life I'd think that was great.
"The situation is outside my control and it's up to other people to decide, but I don't want to be anywhere else."
Former Newcastle United trainee Caldwell has found the net twice in 79 appearances for the Bhoys.
