Caldwell: Title race still alive
18 May 2009 - 11:02:15
Celtic defender Gary Caldwell believes the SPL title race could yet swing back in his side's favour.
Caldwell was part of the Hoops side which failed to overcome Hibernian in Sunday's goalless draw at Easter Road which handed the title initiative back to Rangers.
Celtic must now defeat Hearts at Parkhead and hope that Rangers slip up at Dundee United if they are to retain the title.
But despite the Ibrox club now being firm favourites to end Celtic's recent dominance in the league, Caldwell isn't giving up just yet.
He said: "I just hope it switches back in our favour again next Sunday. There's still a lot to do as you can see from the results over the past few weeks.
"Neither of the Old Firm teams have won at Tannadice this season, so if Rangers are going to win the league, they've everything to do up there.
"We have to focus on beating Hearts at home, that's all we'll be concentrating on."
