Caldwell made it a Celtic double in the awards this year after Scott Brown was voted the top player by his fellow professionals. The Scotland international has won over the Celtic fans with his displays this season and he vowed to get better. The 27-year-old said: "I think I can still improve. I feel as fit as I've ever felt. "They do say that, nearer to 30, as a centre-back the experience you've gained over the years can help you. "I feel I've got better every year and that's what you have to do." The former Newcastle player, who joined Celtic on a free transfer from Hibernian almost three years ago, added: "This is the challenge I have - not to make any mistakes and remain true to myself as a ball-playing centre-half, but cut out the small mistakes that were maybe stopping me from winning trophies and playing in big games. I think I've done that."
