Bye bye Boruc

We appear to have seen the last of Artur Boruc as he jetted off to America on tour while the club agreed a deal with Fiorentina Artur Boruc looks to have ended his time at Celtic after the club accepted an offer from Fiorentina for the 'keeper. Boruc made more than 200 appearances for the club after arriving from Legia Warsaw in 2005. The Italian club announced on their website on Monday evening that the Poland goalkeeper would complete his move to Italy after undergoing a medical. Boruc had one year left on his contract and Celtic have opted to sell the 30-year-old rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.  The statement on it.violachannel.tv read: "FC Fiorentina announces that it has reached agreement with Glasgow Celtic for the acquisition of Artur Boruc. The negotiations will be completed after the results of the medical." The deal continued a busy day in the transfer market for Celtic, who confirmed the arrival of Joe Ledley on a four-year contract after a loan deal for Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard fell through. The imminent departure of Boruc, who set off on the club's pre-season tour of North America on Monday morning, leaves compatriot Lukasz Zaluska as Neil Lennon's first-choice goalkeeper. American Dominic Cervi also headed back to the USA with the squad from Glasgow.
