Brown's red card appeal fails

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has failed with his appeal to have the red card he was handed during Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Rangers overturned.
The 24-year-old was dismissed after clashing with Gers striker Kyle Lafferty and will now miss three matches through suspension.
The red card meant Brown was given an automatic one-match ban but, as he now has 12 disciplinary points, the Celtic skipper will also miss two additional games.
He will play no part in this month's SPL games against Falkirk, St Johnstone and St Mirren.
A Scottish Football Association statement read: "In accordance with the provisions for claims of wrongful dismissal, the referee, Dougie McDonald, was requested to review the circumstances of Scott Brown's sending off against Rangers.
"The referee has indicated that he is content with his decision."
