Brown receives PFA prize

Celtic midfielder Scott Brown has been named as the Scottish PFA Player of the Year.

The 23-year-old beat off competition from Bhoys team-mate Gary Caldwell and Rangers duo Pedro Mendes and Steven Davis to take the award.

His manager, Gordon Strachan, said of Brown receiving the prize: "How good he'll be is what we should be looking at, that's for sure.

"It's up to himself, really. Through his career, he's worked with good people at Hibs and hopefully, he's worked with good people at Celtic.

"Where he goes, I don't know. But he can play at a really high level - that's for sure."
