Brown boost lifts Bhoys

Celtic expect key midfielder Scott Brown to be fit for Sunday's SPL title showdown with Hearts.

The recently-crowned SFA Player of the Year limped out of last weekend's goalless draw at Hibernian which handed Rangers the initiative in the title race.

There were fears that Brown would miss the final game of the season with an ankle problem.

However, coach Neil Lennon claims the midfielder will play against Hearts in a game which the Hoops need to win to stand any chance of winning the title.

"Scott should be okay for the weekend, but he won't do a lot this week," he revealed.

"He's had an ongoing ankle problem which he had been getting through okay, but he struggled a bit in the last 20 minutes on Sunday.

"It wasn't his day but hopefully after a week's rest he should be okay.

"I wouldn't have thought it would go as far as an operation - but he needs a rest."
