Brown relishing new campaign

Celtic's Scott Brown cannot wait for the new SPL campaign to start after enduring a season to forget.[LNB] The Bhoys finished the campaign trophyless, poor form that saw Tony Mowbray sacked in March following a 4-0 defeat to St Mirren.[LNB]Things got even worse when they were dumped out of the Scottish Cup by Ross County in the semi-finals under caretaker Neil Lennon.[LNB]However, Celtic's SPL form improved dramatically under Lennon and he remains a strong candidate to replace Mowbray permanently.[LNB]Brown has conceded it was a season to forget and that everyone at the club is determined to turn things around.[LNB]The 24-year-old midfielder insists his team-mates are as determined as ever to win silverware next term and right the wrongs of this season.[LNB]"We have taken our criticism and we have had to take it so now we move on from that," he told the club's official website.[LNB]"It wasn't the best season in the world and everyone knows that as we let the fans down and let ourselves down. [LNB]"We managed to win eight games in a row at the end of the season and we want to kick on from that into next season. [LNB]"I would rather the new season was starting tomorrow. I wish we could have continued playing as I don't want a summer thinking of this season. [LNB]"We want to get started again and the results at the end of the season have heightened our expectations. [LNB]"Our determination to bring back success is doubled and some of the boys who were new to the club now know the situation. [LNB]"You cannot get beaten when you are a Celtic player. It just can't happen and we have to bring some silverware back next season."
