Brown lauds stand-in Ki

Celtic captain Scott Brown has hailed the role played by Ki Sung-yueng during his enforced absence.

January arrival Ki did not play under Neil Lennon last season with his last game coming in the 4-0 defeat by St Mirren in March, which spelled the end of Tony Mowbray's spell in charge but the 21-year-old has forced his way into Lennon's plans this term.

The South Korea midfielder won the Clydesdale Bank young player of the month award for October and netted an impressive strike in Celtic's most recent match, their 2-2 home draw against Inverness and Brown said: "I think it's maybe taken him a wee bit of time to find his feet up here. But now that he has, he has been brilliant to be fair."

He added: "He takes the ball, has two good feet, plus he can score a goal, that's for sure."
