Brown faces 10 weeks on sidelines

Celtic captain Scott Brown does not need surgery on his broken foot but he still faces up to 10 weeks on the sidelines.[LNB] Celtic announced on Friday that the Scotland midfielder would be out for at least six weeks, and possibly more, with a stress reaction in a metatarsal on his right foot.[LNB]A visit to a specialist has today allayed fears he would need surgery, which would have kept him out for about three months.[LNB]But a statement on the club's official website added: "However, with the extra rehabilitation work required, the midfielder is likely to be out for eight to 10 weeks."
