Caldwell quit Tony Mowbray's charges for Roberto Martinez's Latics earlier this month after contract extension talks broke down.[LNB]The defender only had six months left on his Parkhead deal while Brown is contracted to the SPL giants until 2011.[LNB]Brown has been on the sidelines recovering from an ankle injury since October and hopes his prolonged rest will be beneficial to his career.[LNB]The 24-year-old ex-Hibs midfielder is not worrying about his future and is only concentrating on returning to full fitness.[LNB]"I think Gary was in a different situation, he was running out of contract and stuff," explained Brown. "I am kind of different from everyone else as well as I am out injured and not in training with the lads and around the lads all the time.[LNB]"I wouldn't say I was an outcast but it is not the same as being in training every day, so hopefully when I train with the lads we will see how it is and take it from there.[LNB]"When I am sitting about doing nothing I just think about how much I miss playing football and being around everyone.[LNB]"But at the same time I needed the rest and hopefully by the end of my career this helps me out, that I wasn't playing in pain every week."[LNB][LNB]
