Boruc fined over gestures

Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc has avoided a ban after escaping an improper conduct charge with a fine and a severe reprimand.

The Poland goalkeeper was called before a Scottish Football Association disciplinary commission over claims he made gestures towards Rangers fans during the last Old Firm derby.

Boruc was photographed gesturing to away supporters after conceding the final goal in the Bhoys' 4-2 defeat at Parkhead on August 31

At Thursday's hearing, the keeper was found guilty of gesturing to supporters, warned over his future conduct and handed a £500 fine.
