Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc believes the Scottish Premier League should reintroduce their abandoned policy of having a winter break.
The Scottish top-flight closed down for a period in December and January between 1998-2003 before the break was scrapped.
But Boruc, who is familiar with a mid-season break after moving to Celtic from Poland, believes the time is right to reintroduce the idea of winter break.
"I think that there should be a winter break in the SPL," he told the latest Celtic View.
"Even over Christmas time there should be two or three weeks to have a wee rest and see our families.
"But it's our job and we have to follow whatever rules the guys at the top of the SPL decide.
"In Poland the break actually runs for three months and you have one month off and then come back for 'pre-season'."
