Big gloves to fill

It is hard to follow a fans' favourite but Fraser Forster is confident he has what it takes. Celtic's on-loan keeper Fraser Forster is aiming to make a name for himself during his season in the SPL. Forster made his home debut on Saturday and kept a clean sheet in the 3-0 win over Hearts. It was the Newcastle's keeper second successive start and clean sheet following the 1-0 win over Motherwell and he knows he must maintain high standards. Artur Boruc had been the club's number one for a number of years and was a firm fans' favourite with the Hoops faithful. However, Forster is not shirking the challenge of proving himself and is delighted with the first impressions he has made. Forrester said: "Artur was a fantastic keeper and Celtic are a massive club, so there was always going to be pressure to go in there and perform. It was brilliant for a first game here and a fantastic performance to get the three points. It was nice to make the save from (Kevin) Kyle and, with the way we have been told to defend, the lads were around me for the second ball. It's fantastic to keep clean sheets whatever way you do it. There has been a massive change of players here and it will take a bit of time for people to get to know each other. But everyone did well in this one and, if we can keep it tight at the back, it is the basis for a successful season. We defend as a team but if the back five is strong it allows the rest of the lads to bomb on and create chances. We could have scored a lot more."
