Bhoys linked with McFadden

Celtic have been linked with a move for Scotland forward James McFadden, who has struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot with Everton.

The 24-year-old has been a key figure in Scotland's campaign to qualify for Euro 2008, but has been unable to translate his form for his country into success at club level.

However, McFadden's agent, Willie McKay, has confirmed that his client is still keen to stay with the Merseysiders.

He told Sky Sports: "James is under contract at Everton and he is only thinking of Everton.

"I believe David Moyes is ready to offer him a new contract to keep him at Goodison Park.

"However, there would be a number of clubs interested in James if he were available for transfer."
