Celtic are set to complete the signing of Marc-Antoine Fortune after the striker passed a medical at Parkhead on Tuesday.
The Nancy striker has been tracked by the Bhoys plus Premier League side Hull City this summer but is poised to join the SPL club in a deal worth £3.8million.
Fortune played under new Celtic boss Tony Mowbray at former club West Browich Albion during the second half of the last Premier League season.
The 28-year-old scored five goals for the relegated Baggies.
"Unless there is a turnaround in the situation, Marc-Antoine Fortune will soon sign for Celtic," confirmed the striker's French club.
"He visited the club's facilities on Monday and could quickly be transferred."
Meanwhile, reports claim that Fortune's Nancy team-mate Landry N'Guemo could also be on his way to Glasgow.
N'Guemo is a Cameroon international midfielder who could join on a season-long loan.
