Bhoys clinch awards double

Celtic's good form in September has resulted in Gordon Strachan and Georgios Samaras winning the Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League monthly awards.

Strachan won the accolade for the top manager in September after guiding the Bhoys to victories against Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Aberdeen.

The three wins lifted second-placed Celtic to within three points of current leaders Rangers.

Greece international Samaras, who has already found the net seven times in the league so far this season, won the players' award after netting braces against both the Steelmen and Killie in September.
