The midfielder was among a group of men given a verbal warning by British Transport Police as they boarded a train at Newcastle Central station.
Reports claim Brown was in Newcastle to celebrate the birthday of team-mate Aiden McGeady, who had apparently left the group to return to Glasgow by car.
Brown was also in the headlines on Sunday after one newspaper published allegations over his part in the drinking session that saw Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor dropped for Scotland's 2-1 victory over Iceland.
However, it is understood the Scottish Football Association report on the incident will clear Brown as he went to bed "hours and hours" before the Rangers pair.
And Strachan brushed off the latest story surrounding the 23-year-old.
"Over the last two weeks, I have had no complaints about my players' behaviour, whether on international duty or whether on their own time," he said.
"When that happens, I take it my players are behaving badly. But until then, I am more than happy with the way the players are behaving themselves just now."
Earlier this season, Celtic banned all players from going out in Glasgow city centre following several flashpoints.
But Strachan claims he has not had to reinforce expected standards in recent weeks.
"Nobody has complained about my players, so there is no need to talk about things that have not happened," he added.
A BTP spokesman said earlier: "BTP officers attended Newcastle Central rail station on Sunday, April 5, following a report of a group shouting and swearing on board a train.
"The incident was reported to police at 7.51pm.
"Two members of the group were removed from the train but were not arrested.
"They were given verbal warnings, as were the rest of the group."
