Balde free to leave Bhoys

Celtic have announced that centre-back Bobo Balde will be allowed to move on a free transfer this summer, should he wish to leave.

The Guinea international had been a regular feature at Celtic Park since his arrival from Toulouse seven years ago on a free transfer - making over 200 appearances for the Glasgow club - but has now played just 14 times in the last two seasons.

The Bhoys have won five league titles and three Scottish Cups in that time, marking one of the most successful periods in the history of the 120-year-old club.

Bolton, the club that had been linked with the 32-year-old in January, could be one destination, while a move back to France is also thought to be possible.
