Balde blow for Bhoys

Celtic will be without Bobo Balde for several months after the Guinea international suffered a broken leg during the Bhoys' 2-2 draw with Dundee United on Boxing Day.

The 31-year-old was stretchered off during the first half of the match at Celtic Park and will now miss the remainder of the season.

The news comes as a particular blow for Celtic boss Gordon Strachan who is also currently without injured defensive duo Mark Wilson and Gary Caldwell.

"Celtic Football Club can confirm that Bobo Balde suffered a leg break during the 2-2 draw with Dundee United on Boxing Day," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The Guinean defender, who has been integral part of the Hoops squad since joining the club from Toulouse in 2001, will be out for a number of months."
