Baggies want £1m fee for Robinson

Trotters boss Gary Megson is keen to be reunited with the tenacious left-back having managed him during his spell as manager of the Baggies. And the flame-haired supremo is believed to have had an opening offer of £500,000 for the 30-year-old turned down by Albion chairman Jeremy Peace. Robinson made it clear he wanted a new challenge days after West Brom's relegation from the Premier League - and has been linked with moves to Bolton and Celtic following Tony Mowbray's move to Parkhead. The former Watford man is under contract at The Hawthorns so Albion are happy to stand firm over their asking price, but Megson is likely to only up his offer to £750,000 as he sees Robinson as back-up to Jlloyd Samuel.
