McGeady wrote the foreword for the new biography of the Hoops legend, 'Tommy Burns: A Supporter Who Got Lucky', and will never forget the role the former Celtic player, manager and youth coach played in his development until he died of cancer in May 2008. Speaking ahead of the trip to Govan, where a win would give Celtic a seven-point advantage over the Light Blues at the top of the SPL, McGeady said: "It's been over a year since Tommy passed away but we still see pictures of him at the training ground every day. "We see his face as soon as we walk through the door and it's not just me who remembers him. "He helped a lot of the younger players through the Academy and I think we're all thankful that we got to spend time with him. "Tommy was just the type of guy to come up and have a chat before the game. He always spoke to me and said, 'One moment of genius can win this match for us'. "That always stuck with me. As a wide player, you can be having a bad game. The full-back might take the ball off you nine times out of 10. "But he always told me that the one time you get past him might make the difference. "He was 100 per cent right and gave me that confidence within myself. If you keep plugging away, things can happen for you. Tommy was right."
