Winger set for Carlisle return

Joe Anyinsah will rejoin Carlisle United subject to passing a medical at Brunton Park.

Anyinsah has spent time at the League One club before, having been loaned out to the Cumbrian side for three months from September 2007.

United have agreed an 18-month contract with the winger, who has made just six appearances for Preston since arriving at Deepdale in 2005.

The 24-year-old started his career at Bristol City and has completed loan spells at Bury, Crewe and Brighton.

Carlisle manager Greg Abbott said: "Joe is a player that we know all about.

"He brings pace and power and bit of creativity and he can chip in with the odd goal or two.

"I'm very pleased that we have managed to bring him in to the club.

"We saw last time just how much of an impact he can have on a game when he is on the top of his form and we'll be looking for more of the same again."
