Ward rewarded for fine run

Carlisle United's unbeaten run in February has earned John Ward the Manager of the Month award in League One.

The former Cheltenham Town chief guided the Cumbrians to four wins and one draw in their five matches in four-week period.

They beat Walsall, Huddersfield Town, Doncaster Rovers and Crewe Alexandra in February and dropped their only points in a 1-1 draw at Port Vale.

The other contenders for the award were Swansea City manager Roberto Martinez, Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope and Southend United manager Steve Tilson.
