United's Taylor needs time

New Carlisle United signing Cleveland Taylor has pleaded for patience after making his debut in the 2-1 success at home to Walsall on Saturday. The winger, who signed from Scunthorpe for £50,000, admitted his 66 minutes in the Blues shirt had left him "absolutely shattered." He told the News & Star: "I've not played for a month, I've been ill and the transfer took such a while to sort out, so all those things put together don't really help. "It will take three or four games before I'm tip-top - there's a lot more to come. The more you play the fitter you get, and confidence comes as well." Taylor appeared in 21 of Scunthorpe's games this season but many of these came from the substitute's bench before the Cumbrians came calling.
