Carlisle produced a resolute display to hold resurgent Tranmere to a goalless draw at Prenton Park.Ian Thomas-Moore missed a simple chance for the hosts after the break while Craig Curran's shot struck the bar. Carlisle's Adam Clayton saw a shot claimed by Luke Daniels and volleyed wide when he should have done better.
