Taiwo: Crowd lifted us

Carlisle United midfielder Tom Taiwo believes the support from the fans during Saturday's 1-1 draw against Southampton lifted the players.

Carlisle looked set to claim only their second home win of the season before Raidi Jahdi stooped deep into stoppage time to earn the south coast strugglers a point.

On-loan Chelsea midfielder Taiwo also heaped praise on goalscoring substitute Scott Dobie.

Speaking to the club's official website, Taiwo said: "Scott (Dobie) coming on and getting the goal in the second half lifted the crowd and they in turn definitely lifted us too.

"I think the overall work-rate in the last few games has been superb and, when you can bring substitutes off the bench like that who are going to have an impact, that can only be positive for the team."
