Simek happy in League One

Carlisle new-boy Frank Simek is confident he will thrive in League One.The defender, who signed from Sheffield Wednesday over the summer, started his career at Arsenal in 2003 and captained the Gunners` reserve team as a teenager. The American knows League One will have a much rougher style than he is used to, but Simek insists he will be able to handle it."Arsenal will always be a part of me because that is where I grew up and I loved being a part of that club. I learned so much from the coaches there and it gives you a fantastic grounding," Simek told the Journal."With respect, that is now behind me and I think I have proved I can cut it at a lower level. Yes, Sheffield Wednesday were in the Championship, but we had some battles. I don't mind getting stuck in."I have played at League One level before - I went to Bournemouth on loan a few years back which was a bit of a shock to the system at the time. This is my first full season at a club at this level, but I don't see it as a step backwards. I certainly will not struggle with the physical side of the game here."
