The Football Association has decided to take no further action against Greg Abbott after the Carlisle United manager's antics during the recent draw at Leeds United.

Abbott was sent to the stands during the 1-1 draw by the referee after querying why Leeds were awarded a penalty.

Abbott told his club's official website: "The FA have spoken to the relevant people and have acknowledged that no foul or abusive language was used and that there was no threatening behaviour.

"I was asked to leave the dugout for breaching technical area rules, when I stepped over the white line, and there will be no further action taken on that issue.

"Obviously I'm very pleased with the outcome and it's good to be able to put it behind us."
