Carlisle United have decided not to offer a contract to former Liverpool striker Craig Lindfield, who has been on trial at Brunton Park recently.
The 21-year-old, who featured in 36 first-team games during loan spells at Notts County, Chester City, Bournemouth and Accrington Stanley in the last two years, failed to impress sufficiently in his two reserve team matches for the club.
Assistant manager Dennis Booth told United's official website: "He's done well with us and this was a tough decision to make.
"We've spoken to him and explained that what we need right now is someone who'll really challenge our main strikers, as they're all playing well.
"He's had a good few weeks with us though and, as I say, it was a difficult decision for us to make. We all now wish him well as he moves on."
