Livesey pens United deal

Carlisle United defender Danny Livesey has pledged his future to the club by signing a new long-term deal and backed caretaker Greg Abbott for the full-time manager's job.
Livesey, 22, has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract despite the Cumbrians currently being managerless following the shock sacking of Neil McDonald earlier in the week.
But the former Bolton centre-half believes caretaker Abbott could be the man to take the club forward on a permanent basis.
"Last season the gaffer told me that if I came back looking sharp and fit, we would sit down and talk about things," he told the Carlisle News & Star.
"He pulled me in last week and said they were looking to give me a contract, but nothing more was really discussed.
"So when he left I was wondering what was going to happen. But Greg told me straight away that the contract was still there as far as he was concerned and I'm absolutely delighted to sign it.
"I like the look of how things are going to go with Greg. I've got a good feeling about the place."
