Livesey back in training

Carlisle defender Danny Livesey has returned to training following six months out through injury.United's 25-year-old vice-captain originally suffered a hamstring problem which forced him to miss the 4-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy final defeat to Southampton in March before, on his return in pre-season and after just signing a new two-year contract at Brunton Park, he picked up a groin injury which has sidelined him ever since.Livesey will step up his recovery by hopefully getting some game time for the reserves in Wednesday night's Cumberland Cup third-round tie against Penrith and could be back pushing for a first-team place by mid-November.Cumbrians manager Greg Abbott told the News and Star: "It's been frustrating for Danny because he has missed a lot of football."He's started training now though but he needs pitch time. We hope to see him involved for some part of the game (against Penrith) and, all being well, he'll be able to step up his training from there."
