Carlisle United loanee Kevin Harper is keen to turn his stay at Brunton Park into a permanent one, but has warned the Cumbrians not to stall on any potential offer.
The 30-year-old winger has just started a second month with Carlisle and is expecting to leave Stoke City in the New Year.
Harper wants his future sorted out as quickly as possible, as he told the News & Star: "If everything is right then staying here would appeal. But first and foremost, the people here have to want me to stay.
"There is a lot of football to be played before my loan is up, but there's only a month to the January window and anything can happen.
"I'm in the shop window and I've said to the manager if he wants to do something, he's at the top of the queue.
"But if somebody comes in and Carlisle don't take the opportunity, then I would need to look at that."
