Carlisle midfielder Simon Hackney has agreed an extension to his contract that will keep him at Brunton Park until June 2007.
The 22-year-old moved to United last February from Woodley Sports and has made 19 League appearances for the club, although 11 have been from the substitute's bench.
Hackney initially moved to Carlisle on a trial basis but, after impressing in two reserve team games, was handed a permanent contract by boss Paul Simpson.
His initial deal was due to expire this summer.
