Grella: Goal counted for little
Mike Grella has admitted his goalscoring home debut for Carlisle over the weekend was overshadowed by Charlton's late winner.Leeds striker Grella, making his second appearance for the Cumbrians following his loan move from Leeds earlier this month, struck in the 58th minute to kickstart Carlisle's dramatic second-half fightback as they came from 3-0 down to draw level with Charlton, only for Paul Benson to head an injury-time winner.Grella said: "It was really exciting for me to get 90 minutes, especially with a group of players that I get on with so well."It was a really good experience but obviously the result puts a shadow over everything."It was definitely a mountain to climb because it's never easy to come back from 3-0 down. We dug in and we thought we'd pulled the result round, and it's a real shame with the way it turned out for us. I thought we deserved to win the match with the shift we put in after the break."It was good for me to get the goal. There's a lot of emphasis placed on scoring, but for me it's more important that the team wins. If you get a goal to help that, it's great, but the all-round performance is the main thing."
