Cumbrians' trio pushing for return

Published: 27 Dec 2009 - 17:20:51

Midfielder Thirlwell has been sidelined since late September due to an Achilles injury, striker Anyinsah has missed the last three games with a hip problem and Bridge-Wilkinson (knee) is also fit-again after a month's lay-off. Manager Greg Abbott is expected to recall goalkeeper Adam Collin and midfielder Graham Kavanagh, both rested for Carlisle's last match, the Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Bradford almost two weeks ago. Stand-in goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley will drop to the bench, while the recent form of midfield trio Peter Murphy and on-loan pair Tom Taiwo (Chelsea) and Adam Clayton (Manchester City) has given Abbott plenty to think about. The Cumbrians are unbeaten in their last four league matches.
