Cumbrians move for Pidgeley

Goalkeeper Lenny Pidgeley has joined Carlisle United on a one-year contract.

The former Chelsea youngster will compete with Adam Collin for the number one jersey at Brunton Park next season with current first-choice keeper Ben Williams set to join Colchester United.

Pidgeley was recently released by Millwall.

"He comes with very good recommendations in terms of his goalkeeping. He's another who just wants to come in and play," manager Greg Abbott told the club's official website.

"He has made it clear he wants to prove to people he's a top keeper and I'm happy to give him that opportunity.

"He's worked with a lot of good people and he wants to kick start his career again."
