Carlisle United manager Neil McDonald has snapped up teenage midfielder Ged Dalton, who had been with Scarborough, on a two-year deal.
The 17-year-old made his debut for the Seadogs, who were forced into liquidation earlier this summer, at the beginning of last season, and went on to make 12 appearances for the East Coast club in Conference North.
McDonald told the Cumbrians' official website: "He's been with us for pre-season and we've seen what he can do.
"He's definitely one for the future, and we're pleased that he's signed for us because he's brought a lot of interest from some very good clubs.
"He's fitted in well, and we're looking forward to working with him and helping him to improve further here with Carlisle United."
